July 20, 2024 Meeting Minutes
President Michael Mackay called the Meeting to order at 13:06 Eastern 10:06 Pacific.

Minutes Review/Discussion
April Meeting Minutes were displayed, May meeting did not have a quarum and the June meetings was canceled due to techical issues with the reminder email; there was no discussion, and the minutes were approved.
Approve the Agenda
The agenda was approved with an addtion of Sandi talking about how the promotion at the ATU International Women's Caucus Convention.
AGENDA Items:
By-Laws Vote for 758 TTPC
Motion by Binschus to approve the submitted By-laws of ATU 758 Transit Togetherness Pride Caucus (TTPC), 2nd by Sandi, Motion carried with a unaimous vote.
Carlos brought up the challenges that they were having related to establishing their caucus's banking account.
Discussion about ATU Local 843's developing Pride Caucus "Ride with PRIDE" and issues that they will likely come across.
Conference Discussion
President Mackay discussed that if we are going to have a conference we need to get the ball moving. Options presented were October (everyone seemed to agree there wasn't enough time to make this happen), holding it the thursday, friday, and saturday before the ATU International Convention meeting, or holding sessions during the evenings of the ATU International Convention.
President Mackay indicated that we should work on making one or more resolutions for the ATU International Convention. Something that he has been thinking of is changing how speakers address groups of members to something like "Sisters, Brothers, & Siblings" or "Sisters, Brothers, & Members". (See ATU CGL 6.16 for requirements on making a resolution).
Lillian & Sandi have been appointed to be the conference planning co-chairs.
Caucus Promotion
Sandi talked about how she was promoting the PRIDE Caucus at the ATU International Women's Caucus Conference in June.

Motion to end this meeting by Lillian with a second by Brendan; Motion carried at 14:22 ET/11:22 PT.

May 2024 Meeting did not have a Quarum
June 2024 was PRIDE month and we had a technical error that the meeting reminder did not go out, the Executive decision was made to let everyone enjoy their PRIDE month.

Financial Secretary/Treasure Oaks and President Mackay talked about filing to become a non-profit with the IRS.
Discussion about Pride Planning
President Mackay talked about the letter that he and Recording Secretary Binschus sent to Office of the President and having ATU Leadership participate in a PRIDE event. We also talked about recognition of LGBTAI+ ATU Leadership.
Business not on Agenda from membership
Discussion on the meaning of our "Purpose and Mission" statement and the effect.
President Mackay asked for everyone to think about referrendoms and think about making a change to how people make their greeting to "Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings" at the international conference.

January Meeting Minutes were Displayed because there was not a quorum at the February Meeting; there was no discussion, and the minutes were approved.

There were no changes to the agenda, and the agenda was approved.

Discussion about our Conference
The survey was displayed and discussed. Sandi raised a concern about hesitation, and we will send a letter to ATU President Costa requesting assistance in getting responses.
Business not on Agenda from membership
President Mackay asked for an update about the beginning of the first Local Caucus. Carlos talked about how they are getting close on completing their by-laws, and once they have them approved, they will send them to us (ATU International PRIDE Caucus Board) for approval. Their is concern about some people joining, even though they are happy that the group exists. The name of their Local Caucus is ATU 758 Transit Togetherness PRIDE Caucus (TTPC for short).
President Mackay asked RecSec Binschus to discuss the International Women's Caucus Conference since it is Women's History Month. This discussion prompted the creation of the Marcia P. or Stonewall Award (the Name will still be determined). Stonewall Museum will open in June.
Sandi brought up that she is close to completing an email with possible people for speakers at our conference and talked about getting sponsors.

November Meeting Minutes were Displayed, and there was no discussion. The minutes were approved.
Approve the Agenda
There was a modification to the agenda, removing the reference to "October &" from the Approval of meeting minutes. There were no other changes to the agenda, and the modified agenda was approved.
AGENDA Items:
Acknowledge and welcome the Interim Local 758 Caucus Board
President Mackay welcomed Carlos the Interium President of the newly created ATU 758 Transit Togetherness PRIDE Caucus. Crystal asked about recruiting people to be part of a local caucus. Carlos had a few questions related to them creating their bylaws and first election.
International Toronto Conference, with John DiNino ATU Canada
A discussion took place, without President John DiNino who was dealing with other Union Business. The discussion focused on doing it in Toronto or Niagra Falls, in October. A suggestion was made to reachout to the locals (by way of the office of the president) to find out if they would attend this event and how many would you send. Sandi from the area of interest says that they would recommend Toronto over Niagra due to traffic on the weekends. Sandi is going to be a key person to help with planning, mentioned local #113 & resources. The ATU Store was promoted as a possible place to order items. October 14th is Canadian Thanksgiving. Talked about ways to pay for lunches and other items.
